| Mother's surgery Submitted by: Jo Anne Hood | Mother's surgery went well, except for problems with her blood pressure and alot of nausea after the surgery. The nursinghome did not hold off on her Planvix and aspirin 5 days before the surgery as they were told to do so therefore she lost alot of blood. She had to have blood during the surgery. The surgeon was upset about this. Now we have to make sure she is getting the best of care to keep down infections. The Lord and our church have been so very good to all of us. | mother's surgery Submitted by: Jo Anne Hood | Mother goes to the Pavillion at S&W at 8am for her surgery. She is having her big toe on the left foot amputated. Mother is 79 and has heart problems. | My friends father Submitted by: Jo Anne Hood | My best friends father has alzheimers. He has been sick for several years, but has gotten worse. Hospice says he is in the sundowners stage. His faithful family takes good care of him and see him as much as possible. It just hurts so much to see him and he doesn't know them. He sleeps alot of the time. | Mother - Ella Submitted by: Jo Anne Hood | Infection has gotten into the bone in mother's right foot. This has been such a struggle and we thought she was doing better. The new x-rays show infection in the bone which means surgery. She goes in for pre-opt next Tuesday and then surgery. I will keep you posted on her surgery date. She has a UTI also and the antibiotics are not working. The doctor was concerned about her having 2 infections. This can cause problems. Thank you so much. | 04-01-2011 |

| Prayer for my mother - Ella Submitted by: Jo Anne Hood | My mom is in the hospital. She has pneumonia, UTI and some problems with her heart. This is the second time she has been in the hospital since Dec. 15th. She has gotten very forgetful and she is also in a great deal of pain with contractions that she has in her legs. She usually lives in an assisted living, but will have to return to the nursing home when she gets relleased. This is a constant thing for me. I am her primary care giver.
