In response to the faithful stewardship of many good givers, Kenny Kelarek, chairman of our Finance Team, reported that we had a budget surplus of $59,538 in 2018. The Finance Team made the following recommendations which were approved by vote of those present at the Church conference.
$15,000 to “Flood Reserve” account for reserve funds in case of a catastrophic event. This is consistent with the decision made by the finance team and approved by the trustees two years ago.
$20,000 for aging HVAC units for replacement or major repair.
$24,500 for youth building and children’s building updates to paint, replace flooring, and upgrade plumbing fixtures and counters.
And the remaining $38 carried over to the 2019 budget.
