Last weekend FBC hosted “DNOW”, one of our biggest youth events of the year with 145+ participants. Students gathered on Friday night to experience a night of worship led by the band “eat.sleep.breathe” and heard guest speaker Robert Nixon. Afterwards, students were split into groups where they went to FBC member host homes, with college students as small group devotional and Bible Study leaders.
Saturday our students gathered once again at the church for more worship and teaching, followed by recreation and fun time with host families.
Sunday, DNOW closed out with Robert Nixon and “eat.sleep.breathe” band leading us in both worship services.
SPECIAL THANKS TO all who were involved in making this event a powerful experience for our young people! Starting with the 13 families who opened their hearts and homes to host our students: the Barksdales, the Hackers, the Ungers, the Novotnys, the Meschers, the Finches, the Bagleys, the Wallaces, the McLanes and the Kyburz families - your hospitality is overwhelmingly appreciated!
We would also like to thank host home coordinator, Gloria Hodge, and meal supervisors Cherrie Deen, Nikole, Danny & Tate Hill, along with Mary Jo Unger.
Last but not least, many thanks to our Student Ministry team led by David Reaves, Ashley Unger and Brandon Kemp. They worked months in advance and put in many hours behind the scenes to ensure this was one of our most memorable DNOW events ever! Said one student in reflecting on the weekend, “I had the best time…DNOW was awesome! I can’t wait ‘til next year!!”
