Our Deacons

Deacons are servants. They serve a crucial role in the life and health of the church by taking care of physical and administrative needs. They assist the pastors by "freeing them up" to give proper attention to the ministry of the Word and prayer (Acts 6:1-7).

Our deacons  care for widows and shut-ins, manage and distribute benevolence funds and handle crisis reponse, serve in various support roles for church ministries and outreaches, administer the bread and cup at the Lord's Table, and many other things! They are examples to the church in Christ-likeness and godly conduct, in accordance with the biblical qualifications in 1 Timoty 3:8-9.
