Student Ministry at FBC Salado is here to help students Belong, Grow, and Serve. This happens by connecting students in significant relationships and developing a worshipping community; leading students to become disciples for Christ and equipping them to be faithful witnesses in the world.
Each week students gather together in the Student Ministry building to worship and hear from God's Word at Midweek, our Wednesday evening youth service. We gather on Sunday mornings for Sunday School to build community around the Word through grade-level small groups. On Sunday evenings, we also have Discipleship, where students can grow as followers of Jesus and members of the Christian community.
Together with camps, Discipleship Now (DNow) Weekends, and day-to-day connecting, students and their parents can find the resources and the support they need to navigate this phase of life’s journey.
SUNDAY SCHOOL - 10:30a
Sunday School gatherings are a complement to the Sunday Worship Service at 9:00a and serve as a place for students to engage God’s Word together, and honestly and openly ask questions about their faith in a small group setting. It is meant to be a loving and grace-filled place where students will find a community of Christ-centered people who want to see them come to know Jesus, grow in their faith, and want to walk with them as they follow Jesus.
SUNDAY NIGHT DISCIPLESHIP - 6:00p
Discipleship is a more intimate gathering that serves as a place for students to grow as followers of Jesus and members of the Christian community. We engage in Bible and book studies and aim to heighten our understanding of who God is, how to read the Bible, and what it means to live as a Christian. We also aim to strengthen Christ-centered relationships through conversation, games, and prayer for one another.
MIDWEEK WEDNESDAY - 6:00p
Midweek is our Wednesday night youth worship service. It is a great time of food, fun, worship, and teaching. Our service begins with a student-led time of worship, followed by a message from God’s Word. These messages are oriented to the lives of teenagers. If you are a parent of a teenager, feel free to join us as we always welcome adults and would love to connect with you. We begin with a hangout time and a $3 dinner option at 6:00pm. Then we transition into our time of worship at 6:30 and are finished with the night around 7:30!
